  1. I have a pin that says Magherfeldt l.t.B 62 engranved on it. I belive it is some sort of lodge pin. On tthe back is Sis G Kelly 1949-1950. Just wondering what is it.

    1. Hi Marsha,

Honestly, I have no clue! I will, however, try to make enquiries for you! 🙂

  2. I have been told my relatives came from Maghera. I traced Martha and James Oughterson who had a son James that sailed to Nova Scotia Canada in 1743. If you can find more I would be surprised but happy. He is my 7th great grandfather

  3. A general comment on the transcriptions. Why do they appear in vertical form? It makes it very difficult to read, some entries only have 2 or 3 letters on a line ! Trying to work out placenames which are not familiar is somewhat tricky. I’m sure they were not originally like that when I first used the site. Please advise. Thank you, Amanda Howse

  4. I am looking for information on Rosella Graham, sister to Mary Ann “Annie” Graham b. 1847 near Belfast. Annie emigrated to Canada and married Lowry Alexander, had two daughters and died at the age of 39. Family from Ireland came to visit after her death, unfortunately family connections were not maintained. We do have family photos of her brothers and grandparents, but none of the photos have names. Perhaps a relative will stumble upon this post!

Thanks

    1. Hi Helen, there are a LOT of Bradleys around Maghera! There were TWO Michael Bradleys born in 1901. Michael born 19th December 1901 (a twin) to John Bradley and Sarah Convery of Fallagloon Townland, Maghera ,
and Mick, born 14th August 1901 to Andrew Bradley and Catherine O’Neill of Granaghan Townland, Swatragh
(which is still in the Parish of Maghera.. both places are maybe 5 miles apart).

If you are on Facebook, I would suggest you post your information request on our group there and hopefully you may meet some new relations! 🙂

      Best regards,
